My Review of Ceremonials
So as promised, here is my review of Florence + the Machine's new album, Ceremonials. To sum it up in a single word, breathtaking. It did her first album, Lungs, absolute justice. With a perfect balance between each song, I have listened to it countless times. Each song is a hit in its own right, and showcases Florence's talent perfectly. My personal favorites include 'Spectrum', 'Breaking Down' and the haunting 'Seven Devils'. Miss Florence Welch is fast becoming one of the worlds most amazing singer, and she shall soon get the recognition that she deserves. Post your favorite songs and thoughts about the album below

Florence Impersonation on SNL
On the 10th December episode of Saturday Night Live, Katy Perry did an impersonation of Florence and the machine, as Florence Welch. She sang a parody of 'The Dog Dogs are Over' called 'The Dog Trials are Over'. Florence, who has been on SNL before, has not yet seen the performance but after seeing pictures, she feels very honored of Katy Perry's impersonation.
Katy Perry is seen dressed in a fiery wig and a Florence-esque dress, singing in a raspy voice imitating that of Florence's. The video is all in good fun and it really shows you what a global phenomenon Florence and the Machine has become. Definitely worth a watch.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone had a joyous day listening to their favorite music - Florence and the Machine. Christmas is not the same without Florence Welch!
Deleted Post
Sorry for a post which I accidentally deleted; unfortunately blogspot was giving me some hassles, but I have sorted it out.
South African Charts
Today I found out some mixed news about Florence and the Machine's position in South African charts. It turns out their single, 'Shake it Out', was 2nd for a couple of weeks- but now they have dropped into 8th position. It's sad news but I hold hope that it will turn around soon
Ceremonials Reviews
The newly released Ceremonials album was introduced in October 2011, and since then, there have been mixed results from many reviewers. Most reviews were positive, such as from Rolling Stone Magazine. However, some were not. Take 'The Guardian' in the UK, who called the album "a banshee convention in a wind turbine". Now there is no doubt that Florence has amazing vocals which can fill any size theatre, but apparently, there is just too much of her belting out each song...How is this a bad thing? She has got the talent which very few have and she uses this perfectly with her new album. They then said there was too much of a "bad romance" in the album, and yet we here no bad commentary of Adele's album, 21, where she talks about her failed romances in each song. That's why I've derived the conclusion that all the negative reviews are just trying to find some flaw in the album and pick at it, I think it is a completely necessary and perfect follow up to her first album, Lungs. My own personal review will be available soon.
